Japan organizes jewelry fair despite the pandemic
Tokyo, Jan 13 (Prensa Latina) Despite the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, authorities reported about the holding of the 32nd International Jewelry Fair (IJF).
Even though the state of emergency decreed by the government is in force, the IJF will be in session until January 16.
The event has been held in Japan for more than three decades and this year s edition is expected to host 510 exhibitors, according to the organizers.
Its leaders decided to go ahead with the fair after the Japanese Government decided to declare a state of emergency in Tokyo and its surroundings from last Friday until February 7th, which entails restrictions for mass events, among other measures.
FALL RIVER The sheer number of names on the Diocese of Fall River’s list of clergy credibly or publicly accused of sexual abuse of a minor is shocking on its own, but the list provided little information about when and where the abuse occurred, how many victims there were, and who knew about it.
Additionally although the lists contain 75 names, an attorney for victims of sexual abuse believes it is incomplete.
“I think it s incumbent on the Diocese of Fall River to practice complete accountability and transparency and list church employees such as custodians, lectors, and deacons in addition to religious priests, seminarians, and diocesan priests [in its credibly accused list],” Mitchell Garabedian said.
